What is VBS?: (Vacation Bible School)

Vacation Bible School (�VBS�) is a community outreach program in the Elmer area. 

The VBS week is held at the Elmer Methodist Church on Church and Main
Streets in Elmer.

During the week, we usually collect items for a shelter or a program
that has a need in our surrounding community.

The kids have an evening full of bible study, group singing,
crafts and recreation associated with the specific theme of the week. 

We close the evening with a wrap up of the evening�s bible story and singing. 
We rock the foundation of the sanctuary with singing and praising God. 

On Friday evening, we end the week�s activities with a show for parents. 

The children will sing songs they learned and there will be skits.
It is a wonderful way for the parents to see what we have been doing all week at VBS.

We have an exciting fun-filled evening with games, bible stories, crafts and singing. 
This is an important outreach ministry of the Elmer area and we hope that you
will be interested in joining us or sharing your children with us for the week. 
We always need volunteers to help us cook, serve the meals and clean up,
teachers, helpers, and people to lead in our singing, recreation, bible stories,
and crafts.
