Dear Friends, Change is again the buzz word in Washington, DC after the mid-term elections. We the people spoke through our votes, resulting in over 100 new Members of Congress coming to Capitol Hill this week for Freshmen Orientation. I hope to meet many of these men and women in the weeks ahead please pray for open doors and open hearts (Col 4: 2-6). Several friends were not re-elected, and I want to spiritually encourage them during this difficult transition. In late August, Georgie and I traveled to Romania and spoke to 90 full-time staff and friends celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Alege Viata (Campus Crusade in Romania). We labored among these dear people for 14 years, and it was a privilege to see and hear how the Gospel is advancing in that land. Our friends were especially interested to hear stories about how we ministered underground from 1978-1990 in atheistic, communist Romania. How wonderful to recall Gods faithfulness. One Sunday we worshipped at Munich International Community Church, which began in 1984 out of a Bible study in our home. We were pleased to join with 151 worshippers of different nationalities, to meet people who had come to Christ through the church, and hear of others who are on the mission field now. Another testimony to Gods faithfulness! Another joy was visiting with Dr. Rudi Rudelstorfer and his wife, Micki. We first met these dear friends in Vienna, and two years later we had the joy of praying with them when they received Christ. Rudi is an ob-gyn doctor and Micki is a lab technician, and they work together in his practice in Austria to serve and show the love of Christ to women. Georgie and I were overwhelmed with the expressions of gratitude and love we received on this trip. People are loving and serving our Lord in Romania, Germany and Austria because we stepped out in faithand because friends like you partnered with us financially and in prayer. So on behalf of those in this letter and many others: Thank You! And together we can thank God for His faithfulness at this season of Thanksgiving and every day.
Thanking God for you,
